Picture Gallery Information
The picture gallery, contains images created by staff and students of Gresham's Senior School.
These images are © copyright Gresham's School and must not be copied in any form without permission from Gresham's School.
Gallery structure
The images within picture gallery are organised into separate folders for each year, allowing for easier navigation.

Gallery useage
When the gallery is accessed, several pictures are showing with a title underneath and a number in brackets immediately after.
These are folders used to organise the pictures.
The number in brackets
indicates how many pictures are contained within the folder.
The image displayed on each folder changes everttime you access the picture gallery.
- Clicking on a folder will open that folder and display thumbnails of the pictures.
- Clicking on a picture will display a bigger version of the picture and open the image scroller allowing the user to quickly navigate to a particular picture. (This will take time to load if the folder contains a large amount of pictures)
- Clicking on the bigger version of the picture whilst the scoller is open, will open the full size image in a new window.
Once the picture is opened, in stage two above, comments can be added by anyone, using the menu located top right. There is no requirement to login to add a comment.
The green menu, top centre, allows the user to move through the pictures in that particular folder, start a slideshow of images within that folder or move 'up' to the gallery start.
The wording top left, gives an indication of where you are in the Art gallery and how many times the particular folder you are in has been accessed. Clicking on 'Home' will take you back to the Art department home page.

Gallery uploads
Photographs can be added to the gallery by anyone who has been given a username and password.
Each user can then add as many images as necessary.
Click on the word 'Login', top right.
A new window will open asking for a username and password.
Upon
entering your username and password, the window will disappear and a new menu item 'Upload' will appear top right.
Click on 'Upload' to open the upload window.
The 'Options' menu item, creates, deletes, and renames folders and/or photos.
Delete photos or folders
Highlight a photo (or folder) and click 'Options' click on delete
Items marked within square brackets [test] in the left box are folders, clicking on one of these will move you to that folder. Clicking on [..] will move you back up to the start folder.
NOTE To amend a folder deeper in the gallery structure, navigate to that folder first before opening the upload window.
The 'Add files' menu item will open a new search window allowing you to search your computer for a picture to upload.
NOTE multiple image files can be added at once but uploads are limited to 8MB per upload however, there is no limit to the number of uploads.
The 'Resize' menu item, along with it's expanding options, will resize images ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN UPLOADED.
Gallery stats
A counter indicating how many views each image has had, is shown along the top of the window along with the image number.
Hovering the mouse over the wording bottom left, displays a graph of the number of times the photos have been viewed today and since the gallery was started.
